Book Trailer

11/7/2014

A book trailer is similar to a movie trailer.  It gives the audience a taste of what a book is about by introducing them to the plot, setting, themes, characters, and conflict.  It gets audience members interested in the book so they want to read it.

Check out the book trailers that the 7th grade students created on the book, The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton.  They used a tool called Animoto.  Which one is your favorite?

6th Grade Book Reviews

6/29/2013

6th grade students had the pleasure of creating a book review about the books they read in Mrs. Falteisek's language arts class.  Students used a tool called VoiceThread to record themselves reading the book review and then created QR codes to put in the back of each book.  The iPads in the library can be used to scan these codes which will then take you directly to the book review for listening.  Check it out at the library!!!

Below are examples of some of the book reviews created by the 6th grade students.
